Patty Burton, 82, passed away at her home Sunday, April 15, 2012.
Patty was born February 28, 1930, in Des Moines, to Murn and Ruth Parks. She graduated from East High School in 1948 and married Bill Burton shortly after. Patty loved her family and friends and enjoyed life to its fullest! She was an active member of BPO Does #25 and a great supporter of Elks Lodge #98.
Patty is survived by her son, Bob (Rita) Burton; granddaughter, Sharon (Rick) Andrews; great-grandchildren, Kayla and John; and a host of other extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; son, Jack; and sister, Carol.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Bob, Sharon, Rick and Rita
I still can't put into words the loss we feel with Pat passing away. You are in our thoughts and prayers and hope that the many funny/happy memories you have of Pat will get you through the hard days ahead. She was truely one of a kind and and made so many people laugh. She will be missed greatly!!! She always made me laugh EVERYTIME I talked with her. I will miss her call the 1st of May!!! But say it in her memory :-)

My condolences to you Bob and you wife in the loss of Pat, your Mother and my Cousin. She was a great, fun lady. We grew up spending much time together in the early years as our Father's were brothers/twins. Pat and I talked on the on the phone very often. When in the Des Moines area we would get together if possible.

Pat was the funniest lady I have ever known. My Mom lost her best friend and I lost a second Mom. I will never forget all the fun times I had just being around her, she will be truly missed. My love to you Bob know that my Mom and I are here for you anytime you need us. Sharon that goes for you also. God Bless
