Jacqueline M. Furrey, 68, passed away April 5, 2012. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Union Park Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1418 Washington. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Jacqueline was born on November 7, 1943. She was the first of three daughters and one son born to John and Lorraine Musielak. She is survived by her sisters, Judy Svitek and Marsha Musielak, and her brother, John Muielak, III. They are all living in Illinois. She is also survived by her husband, Charles; daughters, Jean Marie, Jolene, and June Michelle; as well as her grandchildren, Dameon, Savannah, Quinten, Oliver, Adem, and Cora Ray.

By 1961, while attending Wright Junior College in Chicago, Illinois, Jacqueline had become acquainted with Charles Furrey. They were married on January 2, 1965.

Jacqueline developed a great desire to learn the truth of God’s word; she accepted a Bible study with one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a full-time pioneer. She symbolized her dedication to Jehovah by water baptism in November, 1970. Throughout the rest of her life Jacqueline continued her quest for truth through her in-depth study of the Bible. She served as a regular publisher, helping several to also embrace the truth. Jacqueline was well known for her in-depth comments while participating in meetings at the Kingdom Hall.

Jacqueline exhibited many talents which included art, sewing, jewelry making, gardening, and ceramics. Many of her friends have been recipients of many things created by her. Although she had these talents, she also studied science and history. Her greatest satisfaction came from her study of the Bible and her application of Bible principles in her life.

We look forward to seeing Jacqueline once again in God’s promised new world. We are comforted by the scriptural assurance that Jehovah yearns to resurrect his faithful, dedicated servants who are temporarily sleeping in death. – Job 14:14, 15.
