Max Leon Halter, 78, beloved husband of Mary Ann Halter, passed away on April 3, 2012.
Max was born at home to Lester and Alice Halter on August 8, 1933. He married Mary Ann on April 7, 1956. Together they raised five children; Julie (Kraig) Graff, David (Sherry) Halter, Steve Halter, Lisa (Luke) Dixon and Paul (Amy) Halter. Max was employed at Consolidated Supply for 39 years. He loved working outdoors tending his grapes.
In addition to his wife and four children, Max is survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, David Halter.
A celebration of Max’s life will begin at 5 p.m., culminating with a prayer service at 7 p.m., on Friday, April 6, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

Mary Ann and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Uncle Max's passing and so sorry I cannot be there with you for his services. Too many flights got cancelled this week after the storm. So glad to have seen you March 4 in Baxter!

To Paul and all your family. So sorry about the passing of Max. I pray there is peace soon knowing he no longer suffers.
Maybe God wanted Max in heaven with Him to help with the grapes and making communion wine!

Max was a good, hardworking, caring family man. The world is a sadder place place because of his absence. Our prayers and sympathy are with you all.
