Patricia Lou Carpenter was born November 14, 1940, and with family by her side, she earned her wings on March 25, 2012.
Patricia retired from Diamond Laboratories where she worked as a shipping clerk. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge, Simpson United Methodist Church, and Hawkeye Jamboree.
Patricia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Jane Bonnett; daughter, Jennifer (Larry) Stanley; son, Larry (Linda) Sparks; grandchildren, Michael Stanley, Marie Atwood, Michelle Stanley, Krisha Foreman and Karie Foreman; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Pat was such a great person, I enjoyed her singing so much. Heaven is richer for having another heavenly voice in the choir, we'll miss you Pat.
