John George Chiono, 90, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012, at 10:13 p.m.
John served in the United States Army as a Medic from 1942-1946. He worked for John Deere, retiring in 1978 after 31 years of service.
John is survived by his wife, Norma Chiono; son, Steven (Cheryl) Creed; daughter, Sherri (Ray) Russell; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Caterina Chiono; sister, Mary Chrisluis; and brother, Robert Chiono.
Graveside services will be held 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue.

Richard and I were very sad to hear about Johnny's passing. I am so glad we were able to see him on Richard's last trip up here. He will always be with us in our memories. Love to you and the family, Jeri.

Dear Norma and Family,
So sorry for your loss. I remember waiting on John at Dahls where I work and he was always so sweet and nice and would always make me laugh.
