Melvin Garber, 79, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Melvin’s body has been cremated and no services are planned.
Melvin was born August 12, 1932 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Guy and Myrtle Garber. He worked for NAPA and as a service man on mobile homes.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Roberta; his daughters, Connie (Jack) Bardon, Susan (Steve) Burt; son, Rodney Garber; step-daughter, Loretta Movick, step-sons, Toby Young, Beau Young; twin brother, Marvin (Pat) Garber; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and twelve step-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to his family.
