Jeffrey Neal Allyn, 45, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 18, 2012, at his home.
Jeffrey was born April 23, 1966, in Des Moines, and was raised by his parents, Jim and Joyce Millard. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Jim and Joyce Millard; siblings, Lisa (Blake) West, Brian Millard, Jimmy Millard, and Matthew Millard; nieces, Staci Golden, Michelle Golden, Krystina Golden-Curry, and Marissa Millard; nephews, Aaron Golden and Jesse Millard; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial to follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions will be received by the family.

I just found out about Jeff's passing this morning . I am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful man . He was a good friend , and I will miss him forever . P.S. If someone would send me some word of what happened , anything , I would greatly appreciate it .

MATT IAM SO SORRY FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILYS LOSS. I JUST FOUND OUT YESTERDAY. I WISH I WOULD OF KNOWN EARLIER SO I COULD OF MADE THE SERVICE. YOU AND JEFF WERE LIKE MY BROTHERS. WE GREW UP TOGEATHER OUT AT THE LAKE. I HAVE ALOT OF VERY WONDERFUL MEMORIES THAT I WILL HOLD IN MY HEART FOREVER. Matt,
I am so sorry to just find out about your loss and that I missed the services. I will always remember the fun times we had growing up at the lake. Jeff holds a special place in my memories. He was at my house the first time Kevin came over to meet the family. Jeff was in the picture (just his outer profile) because he was right there as Kevin walked up. Jeff will be forever on the hearts of those he touched. I pray you will find peace!

I am so sorry for the loss of Jeff. We went to Cattell together and he had always been a nice guy and good friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I will always remember his smile. Take care and God Bless.

It seems like yesterday we were all watching movies at the the trailer on the lake. -Or just hanging out being our silly selves. Great memories of great times with great people! Priceless!

Jim and Joyce and family,
I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Jeff was such a big part of our lives growing up. Like the good big brother that he was to all of us, before any of us had driver's licenses, he would shuttle us around, take us out on a Friday night to "scoop the loop" and sometimes, just sometimes, help us get into a little bit of trouble. How Matt, Pam, Misty, and myself call crammed into his Pacer, I'll never know. I have such happy memories of Jeff and his loss is certainly felt. He touched so many lives in such a fun, positive way, reflecting the guy that he was. Please let me know if there is anything you need or anything I can do. On some level, I feel like I lost my big brother.

I have many good memories of growing up with Jeff. He was at his grandparent's house so often I thought he lived there! My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
