John Warrington

John Wesley Warrington, 65, passed away at Iowa Methodist Medical Center on Saturday, March 17, 2012.

John was born on December 28, 1946, in Osage, Iowa, where he was raised by his mother, Dee, and step-father, Galen Walters. He graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a degree in horticulture/botany. John pursued a carrier in the wholesale floral industry, beginning on the West coast, and concluded his 35-year passion as a florist in the Midwest with his beloved flower shop, The Abby. John was a very skillful designer and used his talents on a large array of projects.

John was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Meredith, and her husband Charles; grandchildren, Deago, Justin, Ian and Logan; his older brother, Douglas and his wife Ruth; and four nieces and one nephew. John will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Per his request, his body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
