John Warren McKee, 49, passed away at his home Friday, March 16, 2012.
John was born January 26, 1963, in Garden Grove, CA, to Dewey and Carolyn McKee. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger.
John is survived by his children, Ashley and Trevor; parents Dewey and Carolyn McKee; siblings, Cathy and Craig McKee, and Mike Dyer; nephews, Elijah and Tyler; and niece, Chelsea.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Norwalk Christian Church, 701 Main Street. A burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter. A memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

I always loved you, Johnny. You will be sorely missed. I am sure you are with the Lord now, no longer suffering. I'm sorry we lived our lives so far apart, if it hadn't been so I'm sure we would have been much closer. I will never forget the summers and the sweet time spent at your house with your family. Your big brother Craig, you and I, running around trying to get into trouble. You and I were allot alike - I think.
I'll miss you, John.
