Peggy Jo (Cole) Hoffman, 70, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at home. A memorial service will be held 3 to 6 pm, Saturday, March 17, at 10938 S. Wold Road (SE 5th and County Line Road).
Peggy was born February 19, 1942, to Wilber and Doris (Lyman) Cole. Peggy was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, and had retired from Forest Avenue Laundry after 25 years.
Peggy is survived by her son Mike (Lisa) Hoffman; daughter, Diana (Standlee) Beckman; son-in-law, Darin Standlee; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Pat) Cole, Steve (Vicky) Cole, Ken Cole, and Ed (Toni) Cole; sister, Eileen (Dave) Hill; and many nieces.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann, her son, Lester, and her parents, Wilber and Doris (Lyman) Cole.

Peggy you are at peace at last. I will miss you my dear friend. We had so many wonderful times together in the 22 years I knew you. I will miss our chats and our quilting time we spent together. Wait for me my friend and we will meet again and maybe we can quilt together in the land of peaceful serenity.
