Paul Thompson

Paul Thompson, 42, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born April 3, 1969, in Des Moines, to Paul and Janet Thompson.

Paul enjoyed going fishing, hunting and camping. Above all else, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his children.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Susan; his children, Nathan, Joshua and Ashley; parents, Paul and Janet Thompson; grandparents, Dale and Inez Simonson; sisters, Sheri (Pete) Eoriatti and Shelly Bogard; nephew and niece, Peter and Abigail Eoriatti; parents-in-law, Elizabeth and Scott Mitchell; brothers-in-law, Paul, Tim, and Bill Whitmore; grandmother-in-law, Mary Ann Cory; other loving relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Inez Thompson.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Greenwood Friends Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family for Paul’s children.
