Ernest R. "Ernie" Moore, Jr.

Ernie Moore, 81, died March 7, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center. Ernie was born April 16, 1930, in Des Moines, to Helen and Ernest Moore.

He enjoyed NASCAR, photography and working on his computer.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Shirley, and sons, David (Susan) and Craig (Michelle) Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Sharon and Carolyn, and brother, Mike.

A memorial service will be held 12:00 pm, Monday, April 16, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, with burial to follow at 2:00 pm at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
