Rosalie V. Terry

Rosalie V. Terry, 92, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 3, 2012, in Deerfield Beach, FL.

Rosalie was born July 27, 1919, in Des Moines, to Fred and Cora Beener. She graduated from East High School in 1937. Rosalie served in the U.S. Army as a WAC during WWII, starting her military career at Ft. Des Moines. She served as Post Adjutant for American Legion Post 0047 in Lake Worth, FL.

Rosalie is survived by her brother, Edwin (Ruth) Beener of Albert Lea, MN; daughters, Cheryle (Mark) Wilcox of Bull Valley, IL, and Cora (Ron) Scharnweber of Boca Raton, FL; son, Delbert Terry of West Des Moines; grandchildren, Jylann, Joelle, James, David, Jennifer, Keith, Barbie, Sara and Anna; and her great-grandchildren, Adam, Terran, Averie, Jaxon and Maddox.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Keith Terry; son, Wendell Terry; and siblings, Beverly Harmon, Robert Beener and Fred Beener.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2012, at Glendale Cemetery.
