Service Details
Robert Walker passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. He was 66 years old.
All services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012. Funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m., with burial following at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery.
Robert was born on December 23, 1945, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to Loretta and Virgil Walker. He lived in the Des Moines area for most of his adult life.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sherin; daughter, Ronda (Tim) Walker-Zepeda; son, Robert E. Walker, Jr.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers; and three sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Chad Walker; and one brother.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in memory of Robert.

I can't believe its already been 7 months since you have passed- Not a day goes by that I don't think of you (especially when i scoop that strawberry ice cream you loved so much!) I miss calling you and telling you about my day...Now Grandma Goldie is up in Heaven with you, take care of her... I know she will keep you and Uncle Chad in check! You were the best Grandpa in the world...I can't wait to see you again! love Ty

Mr. Walker I thought of you as an uncle. You gave me alot of knowledge wisdom advice and a swift kick in the butt when needed. I will miss you greatly rest in peace brother much love and respect
