Lloyd Landers

Lloyd Landers, 84, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Altoona Nursing and Rehab. He was born May 12, 1927, in Howe, NE, to Marion & Marie Landers. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial at Pine Hill Cemetery.

He attended Eastside Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed riding horses.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Linda (Raymond) Gundlach; his son, Morris Landers; sister, Kathrine; brothers Manny and Billie; five grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by is wife Elsie, parents Marion and Marie, and his son, Freddy.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Altoona Nursing and Rehab in loving memory of Lloyd.
