Louise Beattie

Louise M. Beattie, 88, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Mill Pond Retirement Community. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Powers-Warren Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Louise was born April 12, 1919 to Charles and Ada Nichols in Des Moines. She was a member of Rising Sun Church of Christ and Runnells Chapter #518 Order of the Eastern Star. Louise enjoyed crafting, riding through the fairgrounds, camping at the fairgrounds and eating out. She loved her Lord and her family.
Louise is survived by her daughter Helen (Gary) Freeman of Pleasant Hill; son, Charlie (Cindee) Beattie also of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren, Jennifer (Karl) Southcott of Highlands Ranch, CO, Pamela Freeman and her fiancé, Ty Sonagere of Gahanna, OH, Emily Beattie of Des Moines and Matthew (Tana) Beattie of Runnells; great-grandsons, Grayson Geitz and Charlie Tuck Beattie; and a host of family and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorr Beattie; her parents; and sister, Betty Roe. Memorial contributions may be made to Runnells Chapter #518 Order of the Eastern Star.
