Deborah Kay Dillard

Debbie (Lehman) Dillard, 55, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Debbie is survived by her two daughters, Amanda Dillard of Des Moines and Emily Downs (Jeff) of Reno, Nevada; her grandson, Jacob Gall; her mother, Lois Henry of Boone; her sister, Peggy Galivan of Boone; and brother, Gary Lehman of Boone. She is preceded in death by her sister, Linda Hoover and her father, Gene Lehman.

Debbie was raised in Boone, IA and graduated high school in Redding, California. Debbie put her self through nursing school and she graduated DMACC in Boone in 1985 with a nursing degree. Debbie was a Registered Nurse for 25 years. She raised her two daughters as a single mother and enjoyed working as a nurse at a local addiction center. She loved spending time with her grandson, Jacob, and her daughters

Debbie left us too soon but leaves those who loved and knew her with great memories. Debbie will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial fund to assist with the funeral expenses at http://debbiedillard.bbnow.org.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Schroeder Memorial Chapel, 1006 6th Street, Boone, Iowa 50036, with a lunch to follow at the Moose Lodge at 812 8th Street in Boone.
