Troy Warner
February 19, 2012
Troy Scott Warner, 41, passed away at Bright Kavanagh Hospice, Des Moines, Iowa on Sunday, February 19, 2012, from complications of a brain injury.
Troy was born January 12, 1971 in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, to Ilene Zieser and John Warner. He attended school at Mason City High School, and received his GED at the age of 18. He spent most of his years in Des Moines where he met his spouse of 12 years, Teann Frantz.
Troy enjoyed keeping busy, working with his hands, and was working on remodeling their house up until the accident. Many would describe him as "on the go." He also had the gift of gab and could talk for hours. On his down time, you could find him watching Hawkeye football or basketball. He enjoyed listening to music as loud as he could get it, and had a life goal of being a DJ. Troy also enjoyed playing pool, was an avid player of black jack, and sometimes a magician winner at the slots. But by far his witty sense of humor will be missed the most. Troy was always telling stories that made you laugh so hard you cried.
Troy is survived by his spouse, Teann Frantz, of Des Moines; parents, John Warner of Des Moines and Ilene and Bill Zieser of Leland; his siblings and their spouses, Tina and Randy Owens of Monroe, and Christina Warner and Mike Gard of Ankeny; grandmother, Inez Heimdal of Lake Mills; nieces, Ashley, Kim, and Renee; nephews, Randy, Devin and Issiah; and many friends and family who loved him dearly.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday February 22, 2012, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Troy's family in his loving memory. They can be sent to Hamilton's Funeral Home.
