Marna Harter

Marna “Joann” Irene Harter, 72, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 in Weslaco, Texas.. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Marna was born August 8, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa where she lived most of her life. She was a member of the Nazarene church and enjoyed serving as a Sunday school teacher both in Iowa and Texas. After moving to Texas in 1995 she and her husband Grant managed Rio Valley Estates Travel Resort from Feb. 2003 until Jan. 2007 where her caring for people and fun loving spirit showed in her service.
She is survived by her husband Grant J. Harter, Jr., daughter: Peggy L. Kenoyer, sons: Robert Kenoyer III., Larry Kenoyer, and Michael Kenoyer, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Highland Park Church of the Nazarene.
