Margaret Betty Jean Payton

Margaret Payton, 86, of Des Moines, Iowa went to Heaven to join her husband, John G. Payton, and her son, Robert L. Payton, on the 6th day of February, 2012, at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, IA.

Margaret was born October 28, 1925, to Thomas and Edith (Hyatt) Wright in Milo, IA.. She loved being with her family. Margaret enjoyed doing crafts and word search and playing solitaire.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Thomas and Edith Wright, her husband, John Guy Payton, and one son, Robert L. Payton.

Survivors are three sons; Jerry (Patty), Jack, and Richard (Janet) of Des Moines, IA; daughter, Linda Campfield (Butch) of Altoona, IA.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm Thursday, at the funeral home.
