Rebecca "Becky" Miller
February 06, 2012
Rebecca “Becky” Miller, 63, died Monday, February 6, 2012, at her home after a long battle with leukemia. She was born October 8, 1948, to Robert and Colleen Wilbert in Mason City.
Becky was a joyful soul who will be painfully missed by many. She had a generous smile, a spontaneous laugh, and an appetite for hilarity. She was a merry-maker with a remarkable gift for gathering unlikely groups of people to generate a good time! She was the epicenter of fun with family members, old friends, new friends, and whacky golfing companions (divas).
Gramma Bec never lost her humor. She was faithful to everyone she loved and was never afraid to voice her opinion in a loving way. Becky spent many years in the insurance business and her last years working for C. Miller Investigation.
Becky will be missed by her loving husband, Chuck Miller; son, Chris (April) Johnson; step-children, Danice Keller, Darla Truman, Dena (Matt) Bernett, and Lonnie (Kim) Robinson; grandchildren, Brennan and Drew Johnson; step-grandchildren, Ben, Bailey, Riley, and Shelby; two great-grandchildren; sister, Marsha (Ed) Welborn, brother, Bob (Kathy) Wilbert; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Colleen Wilbert.
Family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Repeating a phrase that is so true - "We are so sorry for Chuck, Chris and all of those who have loved and supported Becky. We have to be "glad" for Becky."
She was such support the year I "was bald". A truly amazing woman. We treasure every visit and every phone call. We could always manage to laugh and enjoy those moments of sharing, regardless of our health situation at the time.
We have said and must repeat that we are so glad she and Chuck "found" each other as we believe they brought true fun and joy to each other.
We will miss and her and know her sun-shine personality and positive attitude will be missed by many.

Chuck and Family
I want to let you know how very sorry and sad I feel about Beckys passing.
I enjoyed visiting with her so much at Dahl's. The last time I saw her she
said "call me" and I just hadn't got that done. I regret that very much.
Please know that you are in my thoughts.
Sincerely,
Linda

We have many happy memories while living next door to Becky on Spring St. Our boys spent a lot of time with Becky's son, Chris. Becky was always fun to be around and always there to help if you ever needed her. She was always up for a good time and made sure everyone around her was laughing. We will keep those memories in our hearts. Our sympathy to Chris and family for your loss.

So sorry to hear about Becky's battle with leukemia and her passing! I am a long-time friend of her brother Bob, and knew Becky when we were growing up as kids. She was always friendly and welcoming to all of her brother's friends and was like a big sister to us. Her great sense of humor and other mannerisms reminded me of her mother, Colleen, another warm and kind person. Although I haven't seen her for over 40 years (I moved to Colorado)I still miss her, as I know many will. God bless her soul.
