Shirley & family. I consider it a privilege to have known Jerry--albeit much too short of a time. Always cheerful and with a smile for all. He will be missed by all!

Hello Shirley and the entire Dowell and extended family. I send my deepest sympathy to you all for your loss. I've only known Gerry (and Shirley) for the last year or so, but would say we bacame buddies immediately. Gerry liked to tease me and I liked to give it right back. I know his health was not good this last year, but everytime I visited with him, he seemed determined not to let that hold him back. He ALWAYS was thinking of Shirley and wanted to make sure that if something happened to him Shirley would be ok. Shirley, I know you hand your heart to God to get you through troubling times and I admire your faith. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I'm so sorry I will not be able to come honor Gerry at the services, but please know that he is in my heart and I will be thinking of you all. I'm sending you a hug and hope to talk soon.
