Michele, 42, passed away February 5, 2012. She was born March 19, 1969 to Paul and Shirley Burch. Her lifetime love of French was shared by her teaching at North High, Russel, Callahan, and many other schools. She taught French, Spanish, and Debate.
Michele is survived by her husband, Tony; children, Anthony, Rebecca, Nicholas, Stephanie, Alexander, and Frederick; mother, Shirley Burch; sister, Patricia Burch; brother, Paul Burch; and sister, Susan Johnson.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a funeral service at 12 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Instead of flowers please make contributions to help with Michele’s memorial expenses.

Madam Arman,
You were an awesome teacher! I looked forward to coming to French class and messing around and trying to learn French. You put up with my sister Kayla and I in the same class and that isn't easy! You kept the mock trial team together when we thought about giving up. You saw the good in things even when they seemed dismal. I know there are people who are hurting but we know you are in a better place. Our thoughts are with your family during this time. We will miss you!

She was the most amazing french teacher ive ever had. very kind and patient to me I wasent the best at learning french but she didnt seem so lose fath. My heart ges out to her family you are all in my thoughts n prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Michele's recent illness and passing. Michele was a good friend and teacher. I knew her thru North High School...I was the Executive Secretary there. Please know I will be thinking of you and your family in the days/months to come. She was a very nice young lady. She will be missed greatly.
