Gale La Verne Price, 72 passed away February 3, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center.
Gale was born April 11, 1939, in Boone, IA, to Albert and Esther Price. He retired from Victoria Cleaners. Gale was a member of Pleasant Hill Free Church and loved to sing bass.
Survivors include his wife Geneva (Genny) of Altoona, IA; children: Chris (Liz) Price of Milwaukee WI; Cindy (Gary) Housenga of Atlanta, GA; Brock Maxwell of Altoona, IA; grandchildren: Ryan and Adam Housenga, Sammi Hill, sister: Judith (Michael) Kelley, Bettendorf, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday February 7, at Pleasant Hill Free Church, 4555 Parkridge Avenue, Pleasant Hill, IA 50327, with a burial to follow at Altoona Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday February 6, at Hamilton's Altoona Funeral home, 105 4th Street SW.
Memorial Contributions may be made to his church or Teen Challenge of the Midlands.

My sincerest sympathy to you all in the loss of Gale. I remember Gale as a great guy and neighbor here in Boone. I ran around with his sister Judy and was at there house many, many times. He was always a lot of fun to be around and I am sure he will be missed a lot. May God Bless and Keep you all and may you always have many great memories of Gale.

Dear Jenny, Chris, Liz and all the family.
Please know how sad we feel upon the death of your dear husband and father, Gale.
He was an enduring gentleman who took his role as father and husband
very seriously. God has received him into the Kingdom of heaven, for
he loved God much and served God with sincerity and fidelity.
