Bernadette P. Leary, 80, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Regency Park in Jefferson, Iowa.
Bernadette was born August 31, 1931, in France, to Emile and Elizabeth Pierre.
Bernadette is survived by her sons, Michael Leary of California, and Patrice Evrard of France; her daughter-in-law, Penne Leary of Des Moines; and her cousins, Jeanne Marie Byington and Elizabeth Baecher. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Leary; and her son, David.
Bernadette enjoyed playing bridge and her dog, Nu Nu.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League.

We are very sorry for the loss of Nadette and her little pal Nou Nou.
(glad Nou Nou has a happy home)
In her brief stay she acquired a number of good friends. As you know
one particular lady was a great supporter of Nadette and preceded her in death.
However you look at it... she has friends in both places.
She left this home a better place. Our thoughts and prayers go with you.
