Dear Karen and Family -
Couldn't get over the news of you losing Larry!
Stu and I remember him as a very special person
and we know you are going to miss him so much!
He touched our lives in a way that will stay
with us forever. Enjoyed getting to know all
of you at New Covenant Church! Thinking about
where he is now and the fact that you know beyond a
shadow of a doubt that he is sitting beside his Heavenly Father
tonight!
Thinking of you and hurting with you right now......

I was catching up on my pile of Des Moines Registers and recognized the face of Larry. I am so sorry to hear of your families loss. My husband and I have good memories of Larry preaching in a little church in Knoxville and marrying us back in 1988. My husband still reminises about his interesting sermons and wide knowledge of so many things in this world. You were all so blessed to be a family together, and he extended his love to many others into his family. You know he is asking all of the questions he has pondered and he is smiling ear to ear hearing the answers. Love to you all.

Karen and family, (and Mark and Lynette Olson)
Please know how sorry I am for your loss. I never had the chance to meet you or Larry, but I hurt for you, just the same. Larry's brother Mark is my brother-in-law and my husband and I live in Indianola. Mark is a wonderful man and I know Larry had to have been just as wonderful, growing up in the same family and being the sons of Alden and Beulah Olson.
I can't imagine the loss you are feeling (and will continue to feel) but I have lost loved ones very dear to me also, and just knowing they are with the Lord and I'll be reunited with them again, makes things more bearable. How wonderful that Larry loved the Lord and is spending eternity with him. I am praying for you all, that God's comfort and peace will hold you up in the days ahead. Take care.

Sheila,
I send my deepest condolences. After loosing my "daddy" in September I know the heartache that comes with loosing such a dear one in your life. I am so sorry for your hurting, but so thankful that your dad is with our heavenly father-for that I know you are joyful! I know words can not explain the hurt, but I pray you find peace and rest in our Amazing God who loves you with an indescribable love! I will continue to pray for you, your mother and family as time goes on. God is good ALL the time! And He will show Himself to you as you seek His comfort. And I can tell you-it does gradually get easier-more bearable-of this I was not so sure just a few months ago, but hopefully you can find comfort in that. It has been a joy getting to know you just since October and look forward to more :).
In Christ's Amazing Love,
Leah

Dear Karen and family,
My deepest and sincere condolences to you. It was a real honour and pleasure to have met Larry last summer at the BIC Pastor's conference in Ohio. His love for Jesus was and is inspiring. In the midst of your grief may you find solace, peace and joy in knowing his place in God's kingdom for eternity. Blessings on all of you, Steve Authier (Canada)
