Jeffrey Stanley

Jeff Stanley, 49, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 26, 2012, at his home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2012, at Wakonda Christian Church, 3938 Fleur Drive, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

Jeff was born September 6, 1962, to Jack and Joan Stanley in Des Moines. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1980 and attended AIB. Jeff was a member of Wakonda Christian Church and loved to enter sweepstakes online and in the mail. He enjoyed playing bingo on Monday nights at Bellizzi MacRae American Legion, watching the Chicago Cubs, going to the movies, and reading.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Joan Stanley; sisters, Janice (Gary) Brooner and Jill (John) Locke; nephew, Josh Locke; nieces, Beth Brooner, Jackie (Chris Cook) Locke, and Jordan Locke; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Stanley; paternal grandparents, Earl and Nelle Stanley; and maternal grandparents, Richard and Ida Felice.

Memorial contributions may be directed Wakonda Christian Church or the family.
