Judith Terry

Judith G. Terry, 66, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Hospital. She was born August 2, 1945, to Joseph and Georgia (Thomas) Turner in Des Moines. Judy worked for Ruan, AAA Iowa, and Old Republic Surety before retiring in 2010.
A long-time illness reduced her energy, but not the enjoyment of her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her husband, Johnny Terry; step-son, Steven Terry; step-daughter, Pamela (Chandler) Fisher; grandchildren, Johnny Terry, Ryan Terry, Sydney Fisher, and Evan Fisher; brothers, James (Allene) Turner and Thomas (Erma) Turner; sisters, Mary Jane Turner and Eleanor (Richard) Hansen; and a host of other family and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012, at West Des Moines Christian Church, 4501 Mills Civic Parkway. Visitation will be held 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to West Des Moines Christian Church.

Dear John:
Our memories of trips with Judy and you are cherished. Judy was the "glue" that helped and motivated the sales agents in the WDSM office. She was always a treat to see and visit with.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Judy's family. I worked with her for 12 years at Old Republic and enjoyed many conversations regarding her family and her grandchildren. We missed her when she retired but was happy that she could. May you take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain.
