Loine (Mae) Sorensen, 88, passed away January 24, 2012. at her daughter’s home.
Loine is survived by her three daughters, Kathy McAninch of Waukee, Sherry Bennet of Knoxville, and Jessie Mason of Melcher-Dallas; three sons, Dwight of Florida, and Dennis and Curtis of Knoxville; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; sons, Morris and Andrew; sisters, Marie and Ruth; her brother, Lyle; and parents, Frank and Jessie Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Iowa Health Hospice.

Kathy, Your courage and support for your mother has been nothing less than inspirational. Few people would give the way you did to provide comfort, care, and love through so many difficult years. My thoughts are with you, and I hope you are a peace knowing you did all you could for your mother through all of her life.
She is in a better place now. May that bring you comfort now.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. I enjoyed the times that Marvin and I would take her to lunch and visit with her. She was a very sweet lady.
