Anna Marie Carter, 61, passed away January 21, 2012, at Genesis Care Center. She was born March 4, 1950, in Des Moines, to Lee and Wanda Ashby. Anna enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening, doing puzzles, and playing with the family pets.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Donna Carter; grandchildren, Elizabeth Carter, Johnathan Carter-Willis and Zachary Oneal; brother, David DePue; and the father of her children, Curtis Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jim and brother, Butch.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2012, at the Mill Pond Chapel in Ankeny.

My condolences to you Donna and the rest of her family especially David Depue. I only knew her for a short time but in that time she was a nice person to know. I only wish I had got the chance to know her longer. May time help you and your family through this loss of a great woman. If you need anything David please give me a call. Hugs to you and Elizabeth.
