Service Details
Connie went home to be with the Lord on her birthday, January 16th. Funeral
Services will be held at 11 am, Monday, January 23, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Glendale Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Patty Vowell and Mary Allen and a niece, Annette Reed. Connie is survived by her sister, Shirley Campbell (Ted); brother, Paul (Sue); and many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was a beautiful lady who had an ever increasing love of Jesus that she shared with all.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Ambrose Housing Task Force in loving memory of Connie.

I found Connie to be faithful and devout to our Lord. She very much enjoyed receiving our Lord Jesus Christ in Holy Eucharist all the way until she met Him face to face.

Hello,
I first met Connie when she was with the Altoona Prayer Group with St. Johns and Paul's church. A gentle soul was Connie and a great love of Jesus. That is what I loved about her the most.
When I had my first son Robert in 2005 she loved him as "only a grandmother" could and prayed for him every day she told me. I do not know if she knew that I had another son, Michael, in 2007, and that I had twin sons just this past September but what I do know is now she is watching over my sons and spiritually interceding for them as only she could.
She will be missed yet I know in my heart she is there.

Ps: sorry I won't be able to attend her service as my twin son Larry Jr just came home on Thursday. His twin brother James remains in the NICU at Mercy. Both were born on September 27th at 25 weeks and day.
