Doris Stroud

Ms. Doris E. Stroud, 88, of Des Moines died on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Wesley Community in Des Moines. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Ft. Des Moines United Methodist church with burial following at Woodland Cemetery.
Ms. Stroud was born in Des Moines had worked as a secretary at the First Baptist Church where she truly enjoyed her work. She was a member of the Ft. Des Moines United Methodist Church and was very active both as a Sunday school teacher and as choir director. She is survived by her two nieces Joyce Larson and Marilyn Roth both of Des Moines as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends from 5-7 P.M. Friday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ft. Des Moines United Methodist Church or First Baptist Church.
