Reno was a graduate of East High and attended Williamson School as a youth. He married Irene Reyes in 1949, and they raised five daughters together. Later in life, Reno was blessed with a sixth daughter, whom he mostly raised on his own.

Reno served with the U.S. Army in Korea. He was a retired Letter Carrier from the U.S. Postal Service, and a proud long-time member of the NALC.

Reno was a devoted father, grandfather and friend. He loved to garden, cook, read and talk politics with anyone who would listen. He loved to spend time with friends and most especially his family. He was a lifelong friend and “adopted” many to his family over the years. He never met a stranger and loved to make new friends. Reno had the wonderful quality of showing love to those he cared for.

Reno is survived by his brother, James; his daughters, Kris (John) Ward, Lori (Tom) Labieniec, Virginia (Lyn) Showman, Annette Bohl, Angelina Tonsi and her fiancé Andy DeFrancisco; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his special friend, Rita Downey; and his beloved daughter, Gayle.
