Mildred Bellis

Mildred Bellis, 92, passed away at Valley View Village, Wednesday, January 11, 2012. She was born September 25, 1919, in Des Moines, to Nally and Stella Bryant.

Mildred is survived by her son, Larry (Joan); grandchildren, Susan Bellis, Cathy (Dave) Cardwell, Patty Glaser, and David (Natalie) Bellis; great-grandchildren, John, Savannah and Leah Goering, Sara Paizis, Rebecca, Stella, and Sam Cardwell, Jessica Schenk, Melissa, Joe and Mary Glaser, and Krystal Bellis; 12 great-great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnn Foster; sister-in-law, Hannah Bryant; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Mark A. Bellis; two brothers; two sisters; and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial following at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
