Larry R. Conn, 68, passed away at his home January 10, 2012.
Larry was born March 25, 1943, in Des Moines to Russell and Jeanette (Reid) Conn. He was a member of the Isaac Walton League.
Larry is survived by his sister, Pam (Scott) Osborn; brother, Don (Sue) Goode; brother-in-law, George (Eileen) Dickerson, III; best friend, Ginger Eyerly; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sharon Kay Costillo and Judith Estella Dickerson.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial following at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America, 210 Walnut, Room 559, Des Moines, Iowa 50309.

To the family of Larry.I've been trying to get ahold of him but I guess I'm too late.My mother was Bernita (Tipton) Morris.We are cousins .Would like to talk.I am very sorry to read about his passing.I remember the times when your family would come down to the farm to fish.Please know that I am very sorry for your loss. tmorris@gmrc.com

LARRY. WE HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER SINCE THE 70'S, WHEN WE DATED.
I KNEW THE WHOLE FAMILY, INCLUDING SISTER JUDY, WHO IS NOW
BURIED NEAR MY SISTER, AND MY HUSBAND. WE WILL MISS HIM SO MUCH,
HIS EMAIL JOKES, GENEROUS SEE'S CANDY AT CHRISTMAS, AND ALL AROUND

My thoughts and prayers go to you all in this time of sorrow. Larry was a fun guy that will be sorely missed by all.He could always make me laugh.Rehab just wont be the same without him.

I am sure Larry will be missed by all his family and friends. We were friends growing up and living together in the old Fort Des Moines. I don't know if he talked much about it, but I am sure he probably did. Because you can take a boy out of the Fort, but you can't take the Fort out of a boy.
We send our deepest sympathy to all of the family. May the pain ease as time passes. Sorry I am unable to make the funeral, but our thoughts will be with you.

I didn't get to know Larry very well.I met him last Summer & went to suppers on Friday nights with him & his brother Don, and some friends.We enjoyed going out on his boat a few times.He was a great guy & fun to be around. He will be greatly missed.RIP.Sue
