Carol Ann “Bubba” Lattig, 68, passed away at her home Friday, December 23, 2011.
Carol was born July 2, 1943, in Alpha, New Jersey, to Edgar and Sophia Lattig, Sr. She had worked for Des Moines Waterworks as a Dispatcher for many years. Carol enjoyed animals, and took many memorable trips in the past few years. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her children, Tracy Silverthorn, Brent Cullen, Shannon Rollings and Aedria Rollings; sister, Josephine Lamason; brothers, Gene and Lester Lattig; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and very dear friend, Dean Emary. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Edgar Norman Lattig, Jr.
A memorial visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.

I was so sorry to hear of Carol's death. Although I did not know her personal I felt that I knew her well though all the telephone converstions that we had during work. She was a very kind and wonderful person.I'm sorry to see her gone.Always remember the wonderful times you all had together and that you will always have her with you in your hearts. Carol you were a true friend. You was also committed to doing a very good job here at Water Works. I don't remember a time when you always made me smile when I would come and talk to you. You will be dearly missed.

I am so sorry for your lose, Carol was such a wonderful strong person she will be so very very missed! But remembered always for her love of life and family. She was a blast to be with and and I'm sure a blast to be her family as well.

My heart dropped to the floor the moment I herd the news. My prayers and thoughts are with the family and friends. Carol was an amazing friend to us and to our little girls Madilyn and Cherry. They loved every moment they spent with her. They still sleep with the webkins she got them from 2 years ago. And I will never forget all the help she volunteered to do with our wedding. We were truley blessed to know Carol Latig. And she will be so very missed by all of us.

Carol,I had made plans to come out twice,but I was discouraged and I know why now.I will always remember my dance partner at my son Brads wedding in new jersey.Tracy,Brent,Shannon,Adria,and all of your wonderful familys,a very special sympathy prayer goes from me to all of you.I love you all.Keep in touch.Carol,may you rest in peace.Hope your with mom and dad now.

When working with Carol @ADP there was never a dull moment. Her laugh was contagious and her smile was the same. With Carol you always knew where you stood, and that is what we admired about her so much.
We are so sorry for your loss. You were her world; she loved telling stories of her family, especially the grandkids. May you take comfort in knowing an angel named Bubba is watching over you. God Bless!

Carol I will miss your smile and your laugh here at ADP. The way you brightened up my day just walking through the door. I am so sorry for your family, they have lost a very special person, you were such a proud mother and grandmother. We talked so much about your grandkids I feel as if I know them. Carol was my mother in law but I loved her like she was my own mom! She was a wonderful woman who has taught me so many things & has touched my heart in many special ways! I have alot of memories that i will cherish & hold dear to my heart! I love you & miss you so very much Bubba! You are a beautiful angel now & i know you are looking down upon us all!

Carol.... what can i say.. you are the kind of person who comes along once in a lifetime.... i miss you already.. we have had many laughs together.. you were a great co-worker,friend, and partner in crime... My thoughts and prayers are with your family. RIP my sweet friend!
