Laura Ceretti, 91, died Friday, December 23, 2011 at Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street.
Laura was born September 1, 1920 to Pete and Ida Fontanini in Carney, Iowa. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Laura spent her life raising her eight children and loved all the time she was able to spend with them.
Laura is survived by her children, Shirley (Doug Marshall) Brown, Mary (Mac) Hartgrove, Valerie (Ken) Berry, Randy (Patricia) Ceretti, and Steve Ceretti; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Sarge Fontanini; brother-in-law, Ray Ceretti; and a host of other family and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno Ceretti; children, Loretta Cowart, David Ceretti, and Lana Ceretti; and two sisters.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
