Carol Henderson

Carol S. Henderson, 59, passed away at Bright Kavanagh House Thursday, December 22, 2011, after a seven-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Carol was born August 7, 1952, in Des Moines. She enjoyed traveling, NASCAR racing, fishing and days spent at their lake home. However, Carol’s greatest passion in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Carol is survived by her husband of 31 years, John; daughters, Jill (Dave) Trembly and Jody Stubbs; grandchildren, Alec, Brooklyn, Chase, Zane, Nick, Danyelle and Donnie; special friends, Margie and Dave Jones; and a host of other extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. followed by burial at Avon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
