Elsie Girthoffer, 100, passed away Tuesday, Decemeber 20, 2011, at Mill-Pond Care Center in Ankeny. She was born January 11, 1911, in Omaha, Nebraska.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2011, at Graceland Park Cemetery, 4723 South 42nd Street in Omaha, Nebraska.
Memorial contributions may be given to Mill-Pond Care Center or Hospice of Central Iowa, in loving memory of Elsie.

So sorry to hear of my moms ( Lois Ridgeway )friend Elsie's passing, the two had a nice time chatting together while they were at Millpond together. My dad and I got to know her a little bit! She was a very strong woman, and lived to be 100 to prove it. May you rest in peace Miss Elsie. You are in Gods kingdom now.

Elsie was a very amazing woman, and a very special resident to me at Mill Pond. We had so many long talks that I hold dear, and her friendship was very important to me. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope to see you tonight ~ Julie Cizek
