Kari Giltner

Kari Lynn Giltner, 41, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 18, 2011, at her home. Kari was born September 24, 1970, in Des Moines and was raised in Omaha.

Kari was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and volunteered at the Catholic Worker House. She had an amazing awareness of those in need and utilized her talents to help them. Kari also enjoyed reading and music.

Kari is survived by her parents, Al and Bev Pugh of Omaha; birth mother, Carole (Dutch) Jones of Des Moines; brothers, Dave (JoAnne) Pugh, Doug (Sharon) Pugh, Dan (Allyson) Pugh, and Troy Hoss; special friend, John Richeson; many nieces and nephews; and host of other family and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents.

Funeral services will be held 9 a.m., Thursday December 22, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, in Des Moines. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha. Family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home

Memorial contributions may be given to the family for a donation to be given to Jacob’s Place where Kari lived.
