Service Details
Janice Campbell, 64, died at her home Saturday, December 17, 2011. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines, with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
Janice was born November 28, 1947, in St. Charles, to Constance and Harrison Strable. She loved watching her granddaughter race every week at the fair grounds, horseback riding, cooking big meals, and going to HyVee.
Janice is survived by her loving husband, Dale; her son, Dale; her grandchildren: Justine and Jaclyn; and her brothers: John, Jim (Cathy), Jack (Sue), and Harrison (Loni). She was preceded in death by her father and step mother Harrison and Evelyn; her brother Jerry; and her granddaughter Jessica.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in loving memory of Janice.

So sorry to hear about Jan. She was such a wonderful, caring person and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad time.

jan was a very good women she would do anything for justine jaclyn me and john we r r like one big family..i know that now she is in a good place and that john is takeing care of her for us..we r very sorry for ur loss nothing will b the same with out her here....god only takes the good ones so soon..if u need anything just ask im here fro u all love u all very much amanda,kaiden,alyssa,david,cathy and big john..

Aunt Jan,
Thank you for taking the time to come visit dad in the hopital this past saturday. You never once let on that you may not be feeling good. That say's alot as to the type of person you were. A Caring, family oriented and a loving person.
We will miss you......

As I sit here trying to find the words to say my mind goes blank.What can I say about someone who would do anything for you?Jan was the most unselfesh and caring person I know.She could always make me laugh.We have done alot together over the years,she welcomed me to this family without hesitation,always made me feel like a sister never an inlaw.She will be greatly missed by so many people!To you Dale,Dale Lee,and her pride and joy her granddaughters my heart aches for you so much.I will be here when and if you need me!My love to all of you!RIP JAN I LOVE YOU
