Michael Mehalovich, 26, was born August 18, 1985, in Des Moines. He passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 16, 2011, at Broadlawns Medical Center.
Michael graduated from Ballard-Huxley High School in 2004, where he played the trumpet in the band. He pursued his love of music and went on to learn to play the guitar. Michael also loved to read and write poems and spend time with his Jack Russell Terrier, Eddie.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Mehalovich; mother, Tammy Rude; father, Jerry Mehalovich; sister, Stephanie Rude; brother, Steven Rude; nephews, Wyatt Rude and Tobias Thompson; and many other loving relatives and friends.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Michael.

Love and comfort surround you all at this time. We are so sad about the loss of Mike but we look forward to being with you Monday and are glad that arrangements are proceeding as you wish. His memory will live on as a blessing for us all....
