Theresa A. Roberts, 51, passed away December 14, 2011 at her home.
Theresa was born August 13, 1960, in Des Moines to Thomas and Marjorie Morrissey. She was a registered nurse and had been married to Ray Roberts for 30 years. Theresa enjoyed watching movies, eating out, shopping and spending time with her granddaughters.
Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Ray; sons, Jay and Joseph Roberts; parents, Thomas and Marjorie Morrissey; siblings, Dwight, Melissa, Joe and Lisa Morrissey; granddaughters, JaeLyn Ann and Autumn Irene; nieces, Tashema and Lucia; two great-nieces; and four great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Theresa.

I am so sorry Ray, Theres no words to describe how you feel. Theresa was a great person, someone who was a joy to have around. i lucky to have personally known theresa and knows what an impact she made on people in a good way. she will always be remembered never forgotten. May she find peace and comfort in the arms of the lord. Love ya

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. She was taken away from you far too soon but someday you will meet up again. Lean on your friends and family for support and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thinking and praying for you, your boys and your grand-daughters ....and everyone that Theresa made a difference in their lives.

Ray, wish I could come to the service but I have another appointment then. So I want to say I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much you cared for her. Hope that you and your sons will find some solace in knowing that she was well cared for and loved.

To Ray, sons Jay and Joe and the Roberts & Morrissey Family:. May the comfort of God help you all during this difficult time of loosing your wife, daughter, mom, grandmother my cousin Theresa. I am thinking about all of you during this difficult time. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel of the loss of Theresa. Although no words can really help to ease the loss you all bear, just know that you are all very close in every thought and prayer. You have my deepest sympathies on the death of your mother. Oh heart, if one should say to you that the soul perishes like the body, answer that the flower withers, but the seed remains. My heart goes out to all your family in your time of sorrow. What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why Theresa left this earth so soon, or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, may we begin to remember not just that she died, but that she lived. And that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget!! I will never forget my cousin Theresa and I have wonderful memories of her when I was young, she was more a sister to me than a cousin, from going to church camp together to playing too many board games and riding bikes to Dairy queen. Our childhood together was so much fun Theresa, me Sharon,and Melissa having slumber parties at great-grandmother bessy's home, summer swims at the pool and riding our bikes all over Parkfair and cooling off with Dairy queen with smiles, jokes and laughter all together. I have many fond memories of playing with Theresea and my other cousins at great-grandma and grandad Phoenix's house. All of us had super-kid-fun together whether it was the 4th of July, Christmas Eve, or gathering to celebrate a family birthday. I'll always remember what a very sweet, loving and kind person Theresa was.
Our prayers are with all of the family as you deal with a great loss.

My grandma Theresa was a great person, she was my grandma and she loved
everyone around her. There will not be a day that goes by that i wont be thinking of her. I loved her very much and she loved me.
