With all due respect for the family Ii'm certain that this was quite the suprise to all of us. I apologize for not being able to be there in person, however I do send all my love for the family and guests that are there. I am also signing this for my sons, who are unable to do so themselves at this time. I'm sorry for your loss. I shall miss the conversations I had with him until late in to the night on facebook and shall cherish the memories I have of him. Once again I would like to say David was a awesome boy, he was funny and carried alot of love for his family.I'm appreciative of the times I got to spend with him.

For almost 10 years I have had the privilege of being Dave's pastor. There are so many ways to describe him such as caring, big-hearted, warm, humorous and forgiving. Dave is one of those guys that you always found yourself rooting for. He always championed the underdog, kept smiling through each and every circumstance, and got a kick out of all the kids in our church. I know many people are better for having Dave in their lives and having the opportunity to call him friend. Whether we were razzing each other in the church foyer or honking at each other on the street, we always felt that connection that comes from knowing that Christ picked us up from the mess we were in. I remember when Big Dave, as I called him, broke his ankle on a men's canoe trip, and me and another guy carried him upriver and to the hospital. Even though that was years ago, Dave still thanked me on many occasions. That was the kinda guy he was. He was extremely appreciative, and he never let you forget it. I know he is with the Lord now, and that brings great joy to my heart. We pray for comfort and peace upon Dave's entire family.
Sincerely,
Pastor Shane and Lisa Philpott and the entire family at Christian Fellowship Church

To the family and friends of David, You all are in alot of prayers and thoughts of you these following days & knowing David is now in peace forever and watching down on all of us, may you find peace in that.
I met David when he went to Kingsway Cathedral church. That was a long time ago, but he was the only guy in the church with long hair and a little rebellious so, alot of us younger kids liked having him on the church bus, he was funny. May he forever rest in peace now.
