I am so sorry I wasn't able to attend the services for Pat. I had the pleasure of knowing Pat when we both worked in the Des Moines School District. She was a role model and mentor to so many. After we retired I always looked forward to seeing her at Maxine's annual brunch. A few years ago Pat bought my fun little red sports car. I hope she enjoyed it as much as I did.
My thoughts are with the whole family at the loss of one so dear.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Pat. Although life sends people down different paths and they don't seem to be able to find time to keep in contact, I have a lot of fond memories of growing up around the Doyle household.
Please except my deepest sympathies.

I had the pleasure of having met Pat as a volunteer for the Families In Transition class that she taught at the Iowa Correctional Instituition for Women's prison. She always made the ladies feel good about themselves and never passed judgement on them. She made the class fun and helped them see so many things that they could do to help influence their own children and grandchildren. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Pat. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your dear mother, sister, and grandmother. Pat was an important role model and mentor for many Education students at Grand View during her time with us as an adjunct. She supervised many practicum and student teachers and always offered constructive feedback and nurturing. Her influence as an effective teacher will live on through those students she supported in their journey to become teachers.
As a new faculty member at Grand View thirteen years ago, one of my earliest and fondest memories is of Pat hosting a department get together around the pool in your backyard. She was a delightful hostess and one of the kindest women that I've ever known. She will be greatly missed.
I regret that I will not be able to attend the celebration of her life later today. Unfortunately, I'm teaching a class tonight. Pat was on my mind just a few weeks ago and I sent up a prayer of thanks for the blessing of knowing her and for her contributions to our department. How I wish I had picked up the phone to check to see how she was doing. I was very saddened to hear of her passing. I will keep your family in my prayers, and please know how very much she was respected and loved by those of us who knew her through her work at Grand View.

Mrs. Doyle was our son, Brent's third grade teacher at Hillis. She was a wonderful teacher and he learned and grew so much that year. She had a way of enriching her students' lives while giving each of them confidence. He loved going to school each day. You have my sympathy.

To the family of Mrs. Doyle,
I'm so sorry to learn of your loss. May God comfort you & give you strength during this difficult time.
Mrs. Doyle was my third grade teacher at Hillis Elementary School in 1988-89. She was an amazaing educator. I recall fondly her helping make the transition from the 'lower unit' to the 'upper unit' & being up there with all of those big 5th graders, a smooth one. She is one of the individuals that influenced me to become the educator I am today.
