Irvin was church organist at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Luther, Montana for many years. His music on the old pump-style reed organ at the church was beautiful. My father, who was Pastor at that time, had great respect for Irvin and all the members of St. Olaf appreciated Irvin's dediction, his loyalty and his talent.
Now at Immanuel Lutheran (St. Olaf's sister congregation) in Absarokee, we are installing a marvelous new pipe organ. I thought it only fitting that I should give a memorial in the name of mister Lofthus. That memorial gift of $25 has been submitted in memory of Irvin, the organist.
May you, the family of Irvin, know that his contribution to the mission of Christ's church has spanned the decades. Be comforted in the promise of God'd love with everlasting life in Jesus, our Savior.

Loftus Families
I am sorry for the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather.
In my years of teaching in Joliet I met your family and remember the friendliness of Doris and Irvin and continued visits with them when we met in the grocery store. Yes, I do remember Peter, the quiet one, and Ruth, the vocal rebel.
Thinking of you
Sue Lamb McQuillan.....
