Richard C. Dady, 76, died Saturday December 3, 2011 at Mercy Hospital. A memorial visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday December 10, 2011 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Richard was born December 26, 1934 to Roy and Pearl Dady in Kellerton. He served in the US Army and retired from John Morrell Pkg in 1996 after 28 years of service. He was a member of Staves United Methodist Church. Richard enjoyed working on small engines, especially repairing lawn mowers. He will always be remembered at giving people a hard time and loving it when the returned the banter. He was a true jokester and will be missed greatly.
Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eva Dady; brother, Roger (Sharon) Dady; foster daughters, Stacy Lindsey and Renee Wachter; foster granddaughter, Tina; brothers-in-law, Buck and Carl Eddis; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Jim) Laymon; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. He is also survived by his two loving dogs, Teddy Boy and Molly.
He was preceded in death by his children, Richard Merritt and Susan Jean Rodman; sisters, Marjorie, Eunice, Joyce, and Jan; brothers, Junior and Jerry; brothers-in-law, William Eddis and Ralph Johnson; and dog, Mandy.

My sincere sympathies to you on the loss of your husband and good friend, Richard.
You and I used to bowl together at the Thunderbird Lanes. We all had a great time together. That was a lot of years past.

My condolences got toward the Dady family in the death of Richard. I've had the pleasure of knowing Richard as a good neighbor. I'm sure he'll be greatly missed.
