Rhonda Gail Porter

Rhonda Gail Porter, 52, passed away the morning of December 2, 2011 at Bright Kavanagh House with her husband and daughter at her bedside. She was born March 24, 1959 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Jerry and Caldona Ludwig.

Rhonda is survived by her husband of 30 years and the love of her life, Bill K.S. Porter; daughter, Amanda (Eric) Bullard; grandson, Wyatt Bullard; son, Jeremy Dittmer; sisters, Jolene Eriksen, Tammy Welch, Stacey Ewer, Lori Cramer and Andrea Van De Hey; her brother, Jay Ludwig; many nieces and nephews; and her whole Porter family, a large extended family, who truly loved her and she truly loved them. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Rhonda deeply cherished and appreciated all the support she got from her church family, the Prairie City Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2011 at Prairie City Church of The Brethren, 10172 Hwy F70 W in Prairie City followed by burial at Griffis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to John Stoddard Cancer Center in loving memory of Rhonda.
