Frances Anderson, 81, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011. A memorial celebration of Frances’ life will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2011 at The Faith Independent Assembly of God Church, 6007 SW 14th.
Frances was born July 24, 1930 in Charleston, SC to Howard Andrew Thompson and Alma Admarie Martin-Thompson. She was the “fun grandma” and well known on the southside of Des Moines. She was a talented artist who loved animals, watching scary movies and going to the Iowa State Fair. Frances was a very spiritual person who would do without just to help others.
Frances is survived by her husband of 56 years, Eugene C. Anderson; daughter, Deborah Gaye Anderson; grandchildren, Cortney Elizabeth Anderson-White, Jerimiah Wesley Anderson-White; and great grandchildren, Jemma Elizabeth and Noah Richard. Frances was preceded in death by her parents and uncles, Bogan Wolfred Martin and Edgar O’Cain Martin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Debbie - I went past your moms house Saturday on the way out to the cemetery to put flowers on my momns grave and I said to my sister I wonder how Deb's mom is doing. Last I talked to you at the wedding she wasn't doing too good.
Then yesterday I sat in front on Kathy Gorla's mom at Church and I asked about Frances. I was so sad to hear she had passed. My prayers go out to you and your family, your mom was the GREATEST!

Deb and family,
I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. No matter how much you think you may be prepared for a loss such as this, it is never easy. Know that she is in a better place with no pain. Prayers are with you all.
