Sister Phillips, Dennis, Sandy & Family of Adolph,
You have my most sincere and heartfelt sympathy in the loss of Brother Phillips. For sure, Brother & Sister Phillips brought me to know Jesus, as both of you did so many, many people. My Parents Raymond & Dorothy (Overton) Anderson loved you very much and thought the world of you both! I will always remember Brother Phillips had the kindest eyes, big heart and gentle ways. He was truly a man of God and we can all take comfort in knowing that Brother Phillips is now with Jesus, whom he loved so very much and all others who have went before him! He will obviously be greatly missed, but Heaven now has one of the best.
All my love & prayers are with you,

Marsha and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of both your parents. I often think of what different households we came from. My parents having regular house parties and your father being a minister. I never felt judged or frowned upon by them, and they never seem to mind us being friends. What fun we had sitting in the front row at church. Your father wanting us where he could keep an eye on us. All the trips to Kings Foodhost or Reed's ice cream after church. Marsha, your parents were great. What I would consider "true Christians". I am glad that we were friends and that you all were part of my childhood.
Sorry, I did not see the obit yesterday in time to come to the visitation or I would have been there. If you need anything let me know.

Our prayers go out to all of the family. May God's peace and comfort flood your hearts. I know how difficult it is to lose your loved one.
Br. Phillips was our first pastor at Norwoodville so many years ago.
We learned a lot under his teaching. We laughed so much and we'll miss him so. He was such an honorable, upright man of God. Our memories will keep him alive in our hearts until we see him again. I can just imagine,he and my Dad (Trenton Jennings) are probably swapping stories right now.
Jon and I were so honored to be asked to sing at the service. We'll do our best to honor Br. Phillips request and sing for God's glory.
Love and Blessings to the entire family.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Bro. Phillips was my spiritual father and will always have a special place in my heart. I will always remember his snappy brown eyes and the way he liked to make people laugh. We will miss him down here but I know he is having a great time of rejoicing.
